This listing is for 25ml of pure BHA Salicylic Acid 10% Skin Peel.
I am an industrial formulation chemist by trade and have derived a pure grade of 10% Salicylic Acid which uses pharmaceutical grade salicylic acid and pure pharmaceutical grade isopropanol as the only ingredients. There are no chemical preservatives or additives.
Salicylic Acid is a BHA (Beta Hydroxy acid) found naturally deep in the heart of Willow Bark and Sweet Birch trees. It is a highly effective skin peeling agent and an excellent pore cleanser with anti-wrinkle and anti-acne properties. It works by gently removing old cells from the skin allowing it to be replaced with healthy skin;
boosts collagen production and in turn balances oil production (less acne and blemishes)
lessens the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Salicylic Acid also has an anti-inflammatory effect. This acid is able to penetrate the oily material blocking pores and flush it out. A chemical peel is a body treatment technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin using a chemical solutionthat causes the dead skin to slough off and eventually peel off. Unlike Glycolic and Lactic Acids which are gradual peels, using a Salicylic peel may cause visible peeling that can last up to 3 days. Please note that Salicylic Acid Peels are not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation. SalicylicAcid is used for the following conditions:
Acne, Acne Scars, Blackheads/Whiteheads, Dry Skin, Sun-damaged Skin, Blotchy Pigmentation, Fine Wrinkles, Loss of Elasticity,Large Pores, Bumps, Rosacea, Age Spots/Dark Spots, Seborrheic Keratosis, Hyperkeratosis, and Actinic keratosis.
10% Salicylic Acid is a Medium Peel. It is effective in combating excess oil output and cleansing of pores. First time users should begin with the milder 5% Salicylic Acid Peel.
Directions for use
Initially perform a spot skin test before applying the Salicylic acid to the full area. Spot test on the inside of the wrist: Using a cotton pad apply soaked with the Salicylic acid solution apply to the inside of the wrist in a circular motion. Wait and confirm that no irritation has occurred, then apply as normal to the face as detailed below.
Applying to face:
1. Cleanse face with an oil-free cleanser and pat dry.
2. Apply the Salicylic Acid BHA solution with a cottonpad and gently buff/rub the skin in a circular motion.
3. Leave on for 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on skin sensitivity.
4. Rinse well with warm water.
5. Apply Moisturizer and sunscreen (if required).
6. Repeat every one or two weeks.
7. After 2 months, allow the skin a one month to restand begin again.
Packaging
The 25ml of 10% Salicylic acid Skin Peel treatment will be supplied in a 25ml HDPE heavy duty bottle and sent in a strong Jiffy bag.
